Hello and welcome to Lost In Realty, my real estate blog! Here you will find a collection of my past lessons and experiences in real estate sales and real estate investment.
I invested over 20 years in working and being around the challenging (yet rewarding) world of real estate. Over this period, I’ve had my fair share of highs and lows, not to mention a story or two! For those new to real estate, it can be an incredibly overwhelming experience, and most of my previous clients had no clue of where to start. I can intimately relate to that feeling when I first started, so I was compelled to share my experiences and knowledge with you all.
I hope the information contained here helps you in your own real estate journey.

One approach to supplementing your savings is by taking out a reverse mortgage. In this post, I’ve outlined the concept of a reverse mortgage and my thoughts on its appropriateness as a retirement financing option.
In an earlier post, I wrote that one of our Airbnb listings was destroyed. There was extensive damage done to furniture, appliances and even some of the doors. After we got over the initial shock, I commenced the process of filing a damages claim. I felt it would be helpful to document my experience, along with some advice for other hosts that may need to make a claim in the future.
I’ve been through several life stages, each presenting its own challenges and opportunities. My first career saw me rise through the ranks quickly and provide me with real responsibility. Then came my foray into business entrepreneurship, which resulted in failure as well as personal growth. Following that was our decision to relocate to Australia and for me to start a new career.
